Another electrolyte brand? Seriously?

Yep, I’m sure a lot of you are thinking the same thing. So let’s dive right in.

 

I had no plans to create my own electrolyte product.

 

It wasn’t some startup idea. It came out of need — a need for transparency, trust, and real quality in a wellness space that’s starting to look more and more like the fast food industry.

 

It all started during my pregnancy. That’s when I began paying close attention to every ingredient label, every supplement, every so-called "clean" product I was putting in my body. I became more conscious than ever about what I was taking — and what I was missing.

 

I wasn’t trying to build a brand. I was trying to find a product I could trust. One that had all essential minerals and electrolytes — and none of the junk.

 

Believe it or not, I couldn’t find one.

I looked at hundreds of electrolyte brands...

And what frustrated me the most was how many of them were marketed as "clean" or "natural" — yet when you turned the label around, it told a completely different story.

 

Here’s what I found:

1 to 6 minerals per product

Always in powdered or tablet form

Nearly all included sweeteners, flavourings, preservatives, or filler ingredients

They absorb moisture, so brands add anti-caking agents and carriers like maltodextrin to keep powders smooth.

02. You need to dilute them in water

Most require 500ml to 1L of water. Unflavoured minerals in that much water? Not exactly palatable. So brands use sweeteners & flavourings, artificial or "natural".

Electrolyte brands differentiate with flavours and packaging, not formulation. So you end up with the same product in different tubs: a handful of minerals, masked by taste and marketing.

Where are all these minerals actually coming from in the first place?

Instead of asking, "How can we stand out?" — which is usually answered with fancy flavours, cool packaging, or bold branding — I asked myself something much simpler.

 

What I found is that almost every mineral or electrolyte source we use today originates from the ocean in its primordial form. Here are just a few examples:

So I thought... Why not just start with the original liquid form — seawater?

That’s when I discovered the work of René Quinton, a French physiologist in the 1800s who proved that seawater and human blood plasma share an almost identical mineral composition.
